Bruce Handler
Bruce Handler is a leadership and career coach who helps leaders strengthen their executive presence, communicate with greater confidence, and manage difficult workplace relationships. He primarily coaches directors, senior executives, C-suite leaders, and high-potential talent across industries and organization types.
As Founder of Core Coaching Advantage, Bruce brings more than 36 years of corporate HR experience to his coaching. He has held leadership roles in HR business partnering, talent acquisition, organization and talent development, and employee relations, including 20 years reporting to Chief Human Resources Officers. This experience gives him a practical understanding of the pressures leaders face, the expectations placed on them, and the organizational dynamics that can help or hinder their success.
Bruce combines empathy and encouragement with direct feedback and accountability. He helps clients understand how their mindset, communication style, and behavior affect others. Through thoughtful questions, candid observations, and practical action plans, he helps leaders see situations differently, build stronger relationships, and make meaningful changes. His style is calm, easygoing, supportive, and grounded in workplace realities.
His clients have achieved results such as confidently presenting business recommendations to a board, moving from a “meets expectations” to an “exceeds expectations” performance rating, and earning promotions. Bruce also provides career coaching to help professionals clarify their direction and navigate successful job searches.
Bruce holds the Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation and certifications from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and the Center for Creative Leadership.
Outside of coaching, Bruce is a frequent traveler to the Caribbean, an avid golfer, and a part-time golf course marshal, where he occasionally gets to combine people skills, patience, and a firm reminder to keep things moving.
